Can I Still File For My 2005 And 2006 Income Tax?
Question by Andie | Posted in United States
I differentiate I do not owe any money back to the IRS, but I never got around to filing my 2005 and 2006 income tax. Can I still file for them this year?
Answer: Yes you can (and should) organize. There is no penalty for late filing if you don't owe anything but you can't get any refunds due to you if you don't file. You must file a paper go back by mail for each year, mailed separately. It's too late to e-file those years.

Is It Too Late For 2006 Income Tax Check?
Question by Michelle | Posted in United States
I recently did my tax proceeds for 2006 & 2007 but im a little worried because a friend mentioned it might not get accepted. Would anyone recognize if my 2006 return will be delayed or rejected?? Please HELP!!!!!
Answer: No, why would it? If anything, you will be penalized if you owed for 2006.. but if you have a refund for 2006.. the IRS could grief less because basically, they kept your money all year and gained interest off it. Make sure you filed them seperately.. you can't group 2006 figures on your 2007 return.

I am using Turbo Tax to put in order my 2006 taxes. I paid in about $300 in Federal income tax. I had a baby last year as well. After I was done preparing my taxes, it said I was getting a refund of $1600! Is this plausible? And is it because of the Child Credit?
I only made about $10,000 last
Answer: Clearly possible. The child tax credit can reduce your income tax to zero. The Earned Income Credit can give you back much more than you paid in. In actuality, with $10,000 income and one child, if the whole $10,000 was earned income from your job, I'd have expected the EIC to be somewhat higher than
