I am having a difficult time making a choice between the two (I know most people would choose a completely novel path). I like the idea of working for a Big four audit firm and later making a modification to industry later to become a Controller or what not. I also like the consulting opportunities
Answer: You're looking at two absolutely different sides. Audit leading to a Controller means you are working for someone else. If you look at tax and go to consulting you can very well unsheltered your own business. They both have great opportunities. It's a matter of which you like more. One aspect

Answer: I'd be tempted to opt for Audit. It's most often a wider field and there's scope to do a lot more with it. If you go on to do your professional studies, you'll have to do a bit of both.
