I have recently been conceded a council tax refund because we were wrongly banded from the start of the council tax in April 93. I'm unhappy that I wasn't dedicated a breakdown or an itemised bill along with the cheque I received. I have no way of checking that the refund is correct. Does anyone have
Answer: you are thriving to have to go to city hall and get the record their, those old records are just not online. sorry :(

I grasp you can go and compare bands somehow but am having no luck. Can you pls tell me how to do it. Should I do it through Martin thingys site? I have tried that with no happenstance tho. Would appreciate it cos friend said I maybe shouldnt be in Band D if only 1 bed flat. Also have done upmystreet.

I want to find out where I can locate information on council tax bands by local authority area in the UK. I
Answer: There should be a website for whatever locality you are looking at. On the website there will either be the bands and prices or a contact number to get them.
They do vary quite a lot by extent, here in the Lakes they are quite cheap compared to a lot.
