The widespread $1,000 per child credit is set to expire after 2010. Will it be extended? I know that President Obama has promised no tax increases for families making less than 200K. There are tons of families that correct less than 200K that will see their taxes increase if this provision expires.
Answer: Nothing clear yet but I would expect this one to be extended.

When claiming profits taxes, is it possible to get the child tax credit if your only income is a pension and social security? Since pensions and group security aren't counted toward earned income credit, I dont know if I ready for the child credit
