Answer: You are technically original carer ie mum, so the ctc are paid for the care clothes etc for the children, therefore you get it for kids. It is not your husbands capital it is your children's. Can Someone Answer My EIC And Child Tax Credits Question?

I have been on unemployment all of 2009. No jobs readily obtainable here! My wife has a W-2 but only made $522.00 How will that affect EIC and child tax credits if we file jointly? Do we qualify for EIC with her W2 ? I only have a 1099G. I have the courage of one's convictions pretend I do not qualify
