My County From Treasurer And Tax Collector Office Is Asking Me To Pay The Unpaid Taxes For My Foreclosed Homes?

Hi,
I received a despatch from our County - Treasurer and Tax Collector saying that a lien has been recorded against me and i need to pay the unpaid taxes before August 31, 2009. This is at all events the two houses I had which went to foreclosure already last 12/13/2007 and 7/3/2008 respectively.


Answer: CA is a bit several from most states. Although property taxes are a lien against the property, if you lose your home to foreclosure any due tax bill reverts to a non-lien assessment against YOU personally.

I am frustrating to get a business off the ground however the Department of Revenue policies are really not clear. Also what is a "right tax" and how is this related to out of state sales online (or is it related)?


Answer: No you do not, however NY is distressing to get companies to pay NY taxes on internet sales from outside the state which are delivered into NY. Enthusiastically unlikely they will do that for companies who do not have a physical store in NY.

IF THE COUNTY RECORDERS OFFICE FILED TAX LIENS ON THE WRONG PERSON, CAN I RECOVER THE TWO HOUSES THAT I LOST ?

The federal tax lien was for nonpayment of employees withholding taxes, and the state tax lien was for miscarriage to file state income tax returns for six years, only problems with this are, I have never owned or been associated with any construction flock and have recieved a refund check from my state


Answer: The county recorder records what IRS sends them and the lien attaches to the taxpayers acreage. You are not the taxpayer. Apparently someone with the same name is. It somebody else's lien is causing you problems you can ask IRS for a Certificate of Non-Ornament.
