I'm captivating a trip from Florida to the Bahamas and doing some calculations to find out if I'm getting a good boob. The cost of one of the round-trip tickets was $832. The federal excise tax on the cruise was 8%, and Florida has a sales tax place of 6%, I have no idea how to get the total. Help?
Answer: Add 8% ot $832 and you get 898.56. 6% of $832 is $49.92. When you add that your unconditional is $948.48. Tips will be on topl of that. Have a great trip.

I have been skilful to determine the Federal Excise Tax on my past Sprint, MCI, and Cingular bills but I am not quite sure about my one-time SBC/ATT bills since they do not use the word Excise on the bill.
Now before anyone tells me to take the standard credit or starts copying and pasting
Answer: I also have SBC/AT&T , I even-handed reviewed my bills for the time period allowed for this credit and the Federal Excise Tax stopped showing on my bills after the June Bill. The Federal Excise Tax is without doubt shown as Federal Excise Tax on all bills dating back from June on the bills.

It is still listed on my Nov. phone bill. Even though it's principled $1.02, shouldn't it be removed with the new tax law?
Answer: If it is a neighbourhood-only plan the excise tax still applies. If it is a bundled service or simply a long distance usefulness, you should not be paying the tax. The best link I could find is attached.
