I am married. My W2 shows "put" for marital status and my wife's says "married". We insist on federal and state exemptions/allowances of 1/0. I noticed that my withholding is about 18% of my income afer reductions, while hers is about 11%. Because of this, we owe taxes on this years

We had a secretary doing fix ups with the company, and when I try to calculate this persons federal taxes for payroll, I am confused due to the high earning and the percent crap you have to do. Does anyone recollect how I calculate this for federal
