I would like some facts on how to claim a GST tax that I have paid when I purchased a car to be used outside Canada (North Africa) where I got a job submit for few years. When I purchased the car, the Toyota Canada dealer told me that I will be able to get the tax refund if I shipped the car abroad and
Answer: If the car was shipped Speedily overseas from the dealer, they should not have charged GST.
If you accepted delivery in Canada, the GST is non-refundable.

Reasonable out of curiousity, how will the GST tax exemption work if we move ahead with the Harmonized Tax? I haven't found any info online yet. Thoughts?
Answer: Same as before. Indians will pay the HST if they grasp goods off the reserve and take them home in their own vehicles. If they are delivered by the vendor, they do not pay GST now and likely not HST in expected.

Answer: I am not in the know of it. However, some organizations (e.g., government agencies) have the gst exmept # or certificate and their suppliers do not charge them gst. On the other disseminate, gst taxable entities do pay gst on their supplies and they dont get the gst back at the end of the year tax
