New Jersey Tax Return To A Resident Of Another State?

I don't get along in new jersey and I never have. I did have a bank joint bank account in new jersey though but I had it changed over to where I live. But i just got what i come up with is a tax return from new jersey. What do I do with that? And does it make sense that I would get that?


Answer: If in 2008 you were not award in NJ and did not earn income while in NJ, you do not pay any NJ taxes.
Also every state has a minimum filing requirement.

Contractor From New Jersey Hired To Work For My Firm In New York + He Is Charging Me New Jersey Tax?

I hired a contractor with a validate from New Jersey to do work for my company in New York. He sent me the invoice and he is charging me New Jersey sales tax which is higher, a substitute alternatively of New York sales tax which is lower. Is he trying to squeeze extra money out of me? Is he assumed


Answer: If the contractor is doing all of his labour in New York, he should either charge you New York tax or no tax at all. There is no reason for you to pay New Jersey tax, and if you are audited by New York, they will charge you tax for New York as part of the audit. If the contractor is not registered
