Company Headquartered In NJ But Working In NYC Office. What Are Tax Implications?

I currently lively in NJ and the company that I work for is headquartered in NJ, but I am thinking of transferring to the NYC office because of a better commute. For form income tax purposes, would I be paying NY state taxes or NJ state taxes? I certain that if I pay NY state taxes, I will get a credit

Why Does NJ Tax Rental Income Made In A Different State?

I am a full heretofore NJ resident but I also earn rental income made in Arizona. Why is it that when I file NJ taxes, Turbo tax would add the rental receipts I made in AZ into NJ tax form and then NJ would tax me on the rental income I earned in AZ?


Answer: You get taxed on the receipts you make as a resident living in NJ. You lived in NJ when you earned that income.

I was dweller of CA in 2007. But my employer, based in NJ, was deducting NJ tax instead of CA tax.
