My ceremonial mailing address is in Ohio, but I didn't live there in 2008 or earn income in Ohio in 2008. I lived and worked in a several state.
I punched in my numbers for Ohio in TurboTax and it said I owe ZERO taxes there, and I have no Ohio refund coming, either (clearly).
Answer: Cherished U: Was your assignment to the other location a temporary assignment? If OH is your permanent domicile you may have to file. Was any OH tax with held, and if so you will have to enter to get it back even if you are not required to file OH.

I'm in the military and I'm a florida neighbouring, but i got restationed in ohio the last two months of the year, Do i need to file an Ohio state return?

Check on that though - I looked at the Ohio tax form and instructions, and didn't spot a chair to take it out.
