I purchased a plastic home at a tax sale and it is time to redeem. Do I inherit the liens that are on it? and what about the mortrgage lien?

Has Anyone Ever Purchased Property In A County Tax Lien Sale?

I will be attending our county's tax sale in October, and I was wondering if anyone has any go through buying property at such a sale. Was it a good or bad experience? Did the defaulting owner ever redeem the gear? Or did you end up with a quitclaim deed, and if so, how long did it take? Thanks!


Answer: Yes, I have been to many auctions. I have entranced deeds (after 2-3 year redemption periods), I have received interest returns from tax liens that were paid off (normally in 3-4 months). It is a very good investment vehicle.

How To File A Motion To Set Amounts In A Tax Sale/lien Foreclosure In Maryland?

My cousin oddity was sold in tax sale for a lien of 1200.00. the attorney is asking for 2900 plus the tax sale amount to get her property back. I advised of the attorney needs some compensation but I think this is a little bit much.

Answer: If the foreclosure happened less than 6 months ago, I am lovely sure you can go into the county treasurer's office and pay off the taxes, interest, penalty and costs and get the worth back with the tax lien dropped.

If it is longer than that, I am not sure.
