I will be attending our county's tax sale in October, and I was wondering if anyone has any go through buying property at such a sale. Was it a good or bad experience? Did the defaulting owner ever redeem the gear? Or did you end up with a quitclaim deed, and if so, how long did it take? Thanks!
Answer: Yes, I have been to many auctions. I have entranced deeds (after 2-3 year redemption periods), I have received interest returns from tax liens that were paid off (normally in 3-4 months). It is a very good investment vehicle.

My cousin oddity was sold in tax sale for a lien of 1200.00. the attorney is asking for 2900 plus the tax sale amount to get her property back. I advised of the attorney needs some compensation but I think this is a little bit much.
