I would like to start a occupation in tax prep. but on some the "big" websites it says 12 weeks for courses1 and 2 but then it says they file to hire graduates that took tax prep school program for nine weeks. Im confused?!?
You can take a tax prep group through H & R Block that typically runs for around 9 weeks. Then, if you want to actually work for them, they be lacking that you do some additional training for a few weeks as well. Even H & R Block won't hire you directly from their tax course-what does that be

I saw data where you only pay for books and tuition is free. I was hopeing to make a little extra gains this way, any thoughts to it?
I did it last year, while finishing school. It's not a bad subject, as long as the office owner is not an upstart (brand new) and/or does plenty of advertising. That's basically the only insight I won't be doing it again this year. (Once 2 years have passed, I can go work at another office, and I may.)
I am judgement about going to Jackson Hewitt or one of the many other tax preparation businesses for tax classes. I am already waiting for a representative to get back to me, but I was wondering what are the fees associated with enrolling in a tax school.
I'v united a link to H&R Block tax school. The CPA/Tax Prep firm that I worked for in the past had me go to that school, as I had never done tax returns before that property irrelevant.
