I do have a few occasionally tax questions. I did try to look through the IRS website, but since english is not my first language, it's a tiny bit hard to understand. If a married foster-parent that lives in a different state than her husband does not make any money, is she still allowed to interfile
Answer: It doesn't essentials what state the husband and wife live in, you are still eligible to file as married filing jointly. You MUST march if you meet certain income thresholds.
