How Many Places Can A Car Dealership Submit Your Credit Application To Get Financed?

I good found out that the dealer were I purchased my vehicle had submitted my application to at least 20 banks/credit unions to get me financed. My credit millions dropped 25 points in just 2 days due to the 20 inquiries now showing up on my credit communiqu. Isn't there a limit on how many places they can submit a credit application? I know I should have secured my own financing before going to the tradesman, but I didn't think they could ruin your credit score like this. Is there anything I can do to have all these inquires removed?

nope, by signing the credit app, you give them rightful rights to shop for the best interest rate. as far as 20.....you went to a lame dealership. and by the way i was a back manager for a chevy dealership and getting your own finacing can be a mistake. i have had many people go to their own credit federation, get an interest rate and come to me to find out i called THE SAME CREDIT UNION and got the loan a piont or two less!!! evaluate of it this way....how many cars do you, as an individual, finance through them in your life? maybe between 5 and 10??? that is what I would do a DAY!!! I get distinctive treatment and you get the shaft. I was in the car biz for a long time, lots of fun. your credit will bounce back in about six months to a year.....dont agonize about it. what do you need it now for anyway??? you got the car, make your payments on time and watch it grow.

I may have to file bankruptcy and my credit application has an overstatement of assets. There was no swindle intended and I do have net assets of the amount stated. However, there is no date on the application. Can it be thrown out?

Could you elabrate more? I dont tumble to. If you are filinf why are they looking at a credit application. I filed chapter 13 and no one looked at a credit app I did so I dont in point of fact understand the question. I would like to help if I can.

If you are worried about the goverment they can do a check to see what assest you absolutely have, overstatment will not be a big deal unless you can prove you have it.

I've seen it in a car ad commercial, and I'm wondering if it reasonable means they'll run everyones credit application to see if your approved for credit, or if everyones approved for credit. I think it's the first one, but it never hurts to be accurate.

Auto wealth is what I do for a living and it's the first one.

Auto dealers are not allowed to turn anyone down for credit they must accept every application and lets the banks come to a decision.
