Form 1098: Is It Worth It To Itemize To Get A Bigger Refund Or Would You Just Do The 1040EZ?
Feb 15, 2007 by Astro | Posted in United States
I have my form 1098 dirt about the interest paid and property taxes paid in 2007. I could go the long route and count it all, but this is getting difficult.
Could I just do a 1040EZ and call it a day?
IF so, what about interest and property taxes that I payed in '06 out of escrow? Is the 1098 unbiased for my own records?
Mostly it isn't advantage it, unless you have mortgage interest payments or some big deducible expense like medical costs. But do be sure you don't have some reason to do it.
