Today was my third day at sixth-form and i'm opinion really lonely. I smile at other people and what not but it doesn't seem to make a difference because I'm on my own. I only separate one person that goes to the same sixth-form as me and I never know what to talk about with her because we don't exactly share the same interests. Everybody seems to have their own knot of friends and then theirs me. I was quite lonely at secondary school and I thought things would be distinctive as it's sixth-form but i thought wrong. I have to admit I am slightly introverted, when it comes to social situations I apprehensiveness or have absolutely nothing to say. I keep thinking at the back of my mind that sixth-form will be completely crap for me because I wont have anyone to share the adventure with.
What should I do? Have you experience something like this?
I got to christ the king sixthform ^^
You'll get there after all. The extroverts make friends quickly, the shy retiring types take longer to find each other.
What Is The Australian Equivalent To Lower Sixth And Upper Sixth Form?
Sep 10, 2008 by Cuddlebugz | Posted in Primary & Secondary Education
How old do you have to be to be accepted into the equal of sixth form in Australia?
Hmmmm, I'm contemporary to have an absolute guess and assume these are the last two years of high school? Every state is varied but this is for New South Wales.
If I'm right, our equivalent is year 11 and year 12 ( year 12 being the year that you sit your Higher Public school Certificate exams which are your university entrance exams). You would start year 11 at the age of 15 or 16 and then start year 12 at the age of around 16/17.
If you desire to get more specific, I think the cut-off date is 31 July. So for instance if you wanted to start year 12 you would have to be turning 17 before the 31 July.
If I'm shameful, there's 10 mins of my life I won't get back!
Oh, just found a good link that would've saved me all that occasionally!
